My Butterfly Heart

Hey friends, thank you for visiting my page. Today, I am up with another Mixed media journal page and here I have used the technique of break a blank page along with layers technique in it. So, why wait, lets start….

For  this project I have used some left over card stocks, scrap papers,Camel Acrylic artist Gesso, Mont Marte modelling paste, Lindy’s moon shadow mist spray color, itsysbitsy spray color’s( ocean mist, charcoal, lemon zing, tangerine, grape crush), butterfly punch, stencil chevron’s, reddish metallic color and glue to paste the scraps :). See how simple project is this…isn’t it?

Now lets start with the process. First start with layering the scrap card stocks with glue all over the page, this can be of your choice on how you want to layer your page. Once done apply gesso on it, then on the center of the page tried to give a texture using modeling paste. This again is of your choice how you want your page to look, I wanted the texture effect on the center of the page and then let the texture paste to dry. Meanwhile cut a heart shape using a card stock and then punch some butterflies. Colored the heart with the metallic color to give it a shine and embellish your butterflies on the heart. Once the texture paste is dry, just spray little wate on your page and sprinkle the mist color’s on your page to spread on its own. After I was happy with the way my page looked, glued the black card stocks as a layer before sticking my heart on it. Have stuck a foam tape behind the heart to give it a dimensional look. Then I cut small black card stock and wrote my wordings on it and stuck on the page. Aha!!! it’s done!

A very simple journal page which was quick to work on.

Here is the closeup look of  the completed journal page:
