Today I have a love theme Canvas with Grey,Green and Pink … and tell you what, I really had fun working on it.
I have used Camel Acrylic artist Gesso, Mont Marte modelling paste, Mont Marte’s Black, White,Green, Acrylic Camel artist portrait pink, color splash hot pink and lime green, pattern papers, card stocks, handmade flowers and leaves, flower stencil from local store, TCW musical node stencil, Distress ink strawberry pink, Distress ink green,Faber Castell water color pencil, Peekaboo messy lines stamp, itsybitsy butterfly stamps, deep red’s script stamp,perfume-stamp( OOPs sorry, don’t have the product name handy with me 🙁 )
I started off with a base coat of gesso on the canvas. Once dry, gave a rough color of grey, and portrait pink to bring out a distressed background. Dashed some musical note texture on the left and flower vine textures on the corners using the modelling paste and left it to dry. Once the texture area was dry, I used, hot pink and lime green spray color’s to spray on the textured areas. I was not quite happy with the colors on the focal areas where I had the note texture, so to brighten it up used some Mont Marte’s Sap green acrylic color. It was just to highlight certain area’s where I was going to have my focal image. Once I was happy with the background it was time to place the card stock before I could stick the focal image. I used pattern paper in pink and green color, and for grey used a normal card stock. Once setup right, I had my focal image stuck to the card stock. For flowers and leaves, I stamped them with itsybitsy’s flower and leaf stamps, colored them with water color pencils and then did a fussy cut of it. I placed them around my focal area to look like a garden :D, I mean full on Bollywood romance (Lol!!). To give a finishing look I stamped randomly and am done with it.
