A Journey of Love

Hey friends thank you for visiting my blog. Today I am up with a journal page with a theme of love journey :D. So, without any delay lets start…

The products used here are Camel Acrylic artist Gesso, Distress inks (Stormy sky, broken china, crushed olive, forest moss, frayed burlap),Faber Castell water color pencils, Deep red cling stamps, itsybitsy clear stamps fazzy butterfies, itsybitsy clear stamps floral basket, script stamp(OOPs sorry, don’t have the product name handy with me 🙁), card stocks

Why delay, lets start with the process now. As a start I applied gesso all over my page, then cut a card stock in the shape of a cloud to use it as a base to give the effect of clouds on the page. For the cloud used stormy sky and broken china distress inks…smudged them on the page keeping the cloud card stock piece underneath. Loved the cloud layer effect on the page…well this was my first try with such technique :D. For the greenery effect have used the green shade distress inks details of the product are mentioned above. Once happy with the overall background layers stamped the page on the green grass with some floral grass to give some extra effect on the page, I colored the stamped images to give a realistic flower layout feeling also stamped few script on the cloud area . Stamped the Eiffel tower stamp on a card stock and colored frayed burlap to highlight the image. Then cut the stamped image. Stamped few flowers  and butterflies on a card stock and colored them with water color pencils, fussy cut them. Now it was time for placement on the page. Stuck some foam tape beneath the Eiffel image and stuck them with glue to give a dimensional look, added the flowers below the tower with foam tape to give them a dimensional look too, then stuck the butterflies towards the right . I colored a card stock and cut just tore it in a way that it looked like an old paper piece and colored it with brown pencil to give a distressed effect wrote a poem by Miriam Bell and stuck it on my page to give a finishing look with a bit poetic effect. After all this page is a love journey theme :D. Done with my journal

  2. Hi Swagatika. I love this. The bright colours are wonderful and the text stamped randomly on the background adds lovely texture. The butterflies are gorgeous as well. A wonderful spread. Thanks for joining the Rubber Dance challenge. Hugz
